My name is Joan
I’m building an Ark
on the Zero line.

Why?
I needed hope, and to know what I could do
So?
I created this to restore your hope, so you might build your own Ark. It’s a survival kit of sorts for the crises of our time.
What is it?
It starts with a voyage, a Pilgrimage, along the Zero line.
That line runs through the landscape of the Netherlands.
What’s special about the Netherlands?
It’s an artificial landscape, the way it has been manipulated changed the landscape and without modern technology (pumps and dykes) half of it disappears under water. The Zero line runs through the middle of the country signifying the natural coastline if that happens. It is an IMPACT line.
What’s an IMPACT line?
This is a place and time to review, renew and act from an integrated place.
This pilgrimage is a blue print to contemplate the tempering with nature. You make up your own mind. Review the reality for yourself. Listen to the history (audios), be inspired by science backed yet spiritually wholesome information to live in a good way with nature and ourselves. All the information about the future can be applied anywhere. (see below)

ARK
The story of the Ark of Noah has 2 sides that I’ve borrowed:
The man had a dream and took action to ensure survival of the diversity of life. A physical act in time of great danger.
The other aspect was his faith in god, a lot of people had to have faith in the same story, effectively changing their minds from the mundane to a mission that set them apart from the rest.

This Ark?
A big Act to save the biodiversity needed to sustain nature as the foundation of our own lives, all while sea levels rise and no actionable plan seems available for regular people to tackle the crises at hand.
An Act of faith that trusts nature beyond any religious, political or cultural doctrine. Enough of us want harmony and balance, this idea is a way to connect in a meaningful way that releases us from doom narratives, restoring sanity and an opportunity to connect to inspiring useful ways to be in this time of great change.‍ ‍

Situation in 2020: “What can be done to solve the many crises I see?” Answers came:

John Liu who founded the Ecosystem Restoration Communities called this “the Great Work of Our Time”; foundational knowledge from permaculture collected from decades of evidence, set to upscale to everyone.
Li An Phoa founded the Drinkable Rivers Foundation to remember our source and the simple wisdom in caring for water. She teaches and connects citizens to systems that progress us toward this dream that when implemented provides for all creatures, all life.
And Mary Reynold pioneers the Building of ARKs; Acts of Regenerative Kindness; oases for native plants that become hot spots for nature revival, and the revival of human hearts.

And there are many more answers.
On the page 'Pilgrimage’ you can check the plan.
